Setelah berbulan-bulan menunggu, Sony akhirnya mengungkapkan sekilas beberapa video game yang dipastikan akan hadir di konsol next generationnya, PlayStation 5, dalam event The Future of Gaming
IDGS, Jumat, 12 Juni 2020 – Sebagian dari judul-judul game yang ditampilkan dini hari tadi akan menemani peluncuran PlayStation 5 pada paruh akhir 2020 nanti, seperti Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Event The Future of Gaming menampilkan berbagai game baik dari pengembang besar maupun kecil, serta lebih menekankan pada kemampuan dan potensi dari konsol PS5. Event ini berperan seperti pengganti E3 yang dibatalkan karena pandemi COVID-19.
Sebagian kecil video game yang ambil bagian dalam event tersebut menunjukkan gameplay mereka, sedangkan sebagian besar lebih ke teaser atau cinematic.
